If you saw my earlier post today you know I had an exciting and busy morning. I had to be around 5:30am and out the door by 6:15. I live about 40 miles from downtown Chicago and the drive is usually about an hour or so. Except of course during rush hour. So as I was saying I left around 6:15 and got to the building downtown at around 8:27 I think it was – found a parking garage across the street (since all street parking was taken) and was a few minutes early. I don’t know how some make the drive every single day.

I got home and had to follow up on some emails and work that needed to be done. I had to drop a copy of the book off in the mail for a possible speaking engagement via Skype with school student in Croatia sometime in June (if it all works out). And then this evening I had our last monthly Art Guild meeting before we take the summer off. So it was a busy day.

The good news is that I knew it was going to be busy – and so I planned accordingly. I set today as a rest day in advance when I planned out my week – and so zero guilt for no workouts today. Planning – who knew right?

Now I am wrapping up a few more work details and then getting to bed after a long but super fun and exciting day. Still have to pinch myself to believe I have gained the confidence to do these radio and tv interviews – and not just do them but to really enjoy myself in the process too! Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. My medal holder says that – but I think I forgot about that for a while. This has all been a great reminder!
